Weather Mobile for the Littles

Good afternoon.  Today, I want to share a fun and simple weather mobile you can easily do with your Littles.

I was inspired when I saw a rough version posted on IG by "PlayIdeas" also www.PlayIdeas.com.  I decided to modify it using the same fun style of faces that Vanessa uses over on the FB page Wee Who Wander. And then I added scripture. Here are my 2 simple drawings, which you are welcome to copy/paste and print onto 2 pieces of cardstock.

Supplies: Printed pictures, scissors, hole punch, colors, string, a branch (or a chopstick if you can't find one!)

MY PUMPKIN STORY craft

Here is a fun craft you can do
with your Littles.

Start with a pumpkin picture glued to cardstock,
or simply draw one.  I just happened to have these pumpkins
left over from last year, so I used rubber cement to glue them to a piece of folded cardstock to make a book, and trimmed around 3/4 of it.

Pumpkin seeds (ours are baked because that's what somebody brought us).
Glue. Cinnamon stick cut in 1/2 with pliers.
Green pipe cleaner cut in 1/2 w/scissors.

Take a black marker to write the words inside, unless your Littles
are old enough to write.  If that is the case, write the words
on a separate piece of paper so they can practice
their writing skills.
Have them color pulp inside with an orange marker or crayon.
Have them glue pumpkin seeds inside & ask them to count the seeds.
Use plenty of white glue for the cinnamon stick & the pipe cleaner.

🍃A pumpkin has a stem.
🌾A pumpkin grows on a vine.
🍃A pumpkin has pulp.
🌾A pumpkin has seeds.
🍃God makes pumpkins.

Then ask questions about each part.
What color is the pumpkin?  What do pumpkins grow on? Then have your Littles "read" it back to you and to other family members.  Later, at dinner, in the car, etc.  ask questions again.  Hey, do you remember who makes pumpkins? etc.

Fathers Day Craft

I found a 4 pack of canvases for $5 at Ross over the weekend. SCORE!
We got a jump on our Dad's Day crafts with these cute hand-print sunshines.  I used the name each child calls his/her dad, and below you see a view of the 4 sides of the canvas.

[Psalm 113:3 ESV] From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the LORD is to be praised!

[Psalm 127:3 ESV] Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD...

Supplies for this craft: canvas, Crayola yellow fingerprint paint, black Sharpie marker, and kids markers for dots and cheeks.

Lamb of God Sweet Craft

Today I made these sweet lambs with the Littles.  A fun way to introduce the Lamb of God. {"The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." John 1:29}

backside.  I later added a ribbon to hang it, but made the mistake of centering it.
If you add a ribbon, I recommend doing so behind the head since that is the
heaviest section.

Carrot Footprint Craft

 I made these sweet little footprint carrots with my daycare Littles this week, and thought some of you might enjoy seeing them.

I used Crayola finger paints, a sponge brush, and cardstock. 

After the paint dried, I wrote an encouraging scripture around the edge that promotes growing in Christ, just like carrots grow!

I then laminated it (optional), and we cut strips from green paint cards, and taped them to the back.

"Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen." 2Peter 3:18

Happy February Dear Ones!

I found this teacup on Pinterest and thought it so lovely I would share it here!  This is a cup I would enjoy owning ;)

It is so very cheerful.

Here is a pic from my crazy garden.  I do not "actually" garden, but as I have said before, whatever the Lord blesses me with I enjoy and use for photography moments :)

Featured is a sign a client gave me with a lovely sentiment that suits me to a "tea".

This week, I caught the sky ablaze with God's glory.  It took my breath away!! No editing here folks!

 I spotted this unique felted craft on Pinterest.  I have never seen anything like it.  Have you?  This is not something I would attempt, but it's to darling not to share!

And finally, I found this lovely towel at Ross this week, just in time for Valentine's Day.  It came as a TWO PACK for only $5.  One for my bathroom (it's extra soft), and one for the lovely lady who will receive my teacup during the February Teacup Exchange being hosted by Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose (click here) beginning tomorrow! ...happy dance, happy dance!

I have already begun choosing little goodies to go with the teacup!  It will be my first time participating in this fun event!  Are you joining in?
